as a situation of being lawful.
It may also be said to be the
general acceptance of the political
system as the most appropriate
and being in line with the law
of the land. It is in compliance
with the laid down rule.

legitimacy other. nations will accord to such government.

be registered and allowed to vote
ii. Counting of votes: Votes must be counted
under strict supervision to avoid rigging of elections

Candidates must be given adequate time and opportunity to campaign and present
their manifesto
iv. Access to court: An aggreived candidate
should have access to court
to challenge the result of the election
v. Independence of electoral commission:
Government should not
interfere with the conduct of the election
